Rodrigo Azaola investigates contemporary financial structures and their impact on biological entities and human temporality. His most recent body of work, Impunity Landscapes (2019–24), consists of six installations focused on crime as a tool for financial mediation. His work has recently been exhibited at gr_und (Berlin), NeMe (Limassol), Zentrum für Kunst und Urbanistik (Berlin), La Chaufferie (Montreal), Video Art Miden (Kalamata), École Supérieure d’Art et de Design d’Orléans (France), Cité Internationale des Arts (Paris), Cairo Video Festival (Egypt), International Video Art Festival (Moscow), Marais Festival (Paris), and C3 Contemporary (Melbourne). Among other distinctions, he was a member of the SNCA in alternative media (2020–2023) and has been an artist-in-residence at Mabini Projects (Manila), Treasure Hill (Taipei), and Takeover (Beirut).
