
Carlos A. Serrano (1991) is a Colombian media designer and artist based in Berlin. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Communication Design from Universidad de Los Andes in Bogotá, Colombia, and a master’s degree from the Media Spaces program at BKT Art & Design in Berlin, Germany.
His artistic research focuses on how the real world can be recreated through physics and mathematics by executing algorithms and simulating physical worlds within virtual representations. In recent years, he has primarily worked with real-time engines and experiences to develop a unique form of digital storytelling. His main methodology involves capturing elements from the physical world and translating them into the digital realm using techniques such as photogrammetry, 3D scanning, and volumetric video recording.
