VERDE is an expanded documentary audiovisual installation project focused on three natural settings: the Sasardí nature reserve located in the Colombian Darién, the Sumapaz páramo, and San José del Guaviare. The three places have different environmental conditions, ecosystems and natural characteristics; They are distant in the Colombian geography, they are different scenarios from the biological perspective but they also have common elements: they are the lungs of the planet and at the same time water factories with incalculable potentiality and they are places of great fragility contaminated by the socio-political conflict in the country.

      Land Art Generator USES www.landartgenerator.org
Through a biennial design competition and constructed works, LAGI is showing how innovation through interdisciplinary collaboration, culture, and the expanding role of technology in art can help to shape the aesthetic impact of renewable energy on our constructed and natural environments. The goal of LAGI is to design and construct a series of large-scale site-specific public art installations that uniquely combine art with utility scale clean energy generation. The artworks use the latest in renewable energy science and innovate the application of new technologies. The art itself continuously distributes clean kilowatt-hours of electricity into the city grid with each land art generator sculpture having the potential to provide power to hundreds or even thousands of homes. At the same time, the installations are conceptually-engaging and activating additions public spaces. They create platforms for educational outreach on the subjects of renewable energy, sustainable development, and ecological conservation.
