This year, the International Media Art History Conference will be held in partnership with the International Image Festival in Manizales, Colombia.

The conference had its first edition in 2005 and has since gained significant recognition in various places around the world: Banff 2005, Berlin 2007, Melbourne 2009, Liverpool 2011, Riga 2013, Montreal 2015, Krems/Vienna 2017, Aalborg 2019, São Paulo 2022, and Venice 2023.
Recognizing the growing importance of art and technology, the goal is to involve the academic community from various disciplines to discuss the history of Media Art within the contexts of interdisciplinary and intercultural.

La conferencia tuvo su primera edición en 2005 y, desde entonces, ha adquirido un reconocimiento significativo en varios lugares del mundo: Banff 2005, Berlín 2007, Melbourne 2009, Liverpool 2011, Riga 2013, Montreal 2015, Krems/Viena 2017, Aalborg 2019, São Paulo 2022 y Venecia 2023.
Reconociendo la creciente importancia del arte y la tecnología, el objetivo es involucrar a la comunidad académica de diversas disciplinas para discutir la historia de los Nuevos Medios en los contextos interdisciplinarios e interculturales.
