March 18, 2020
For the first time, and after 23 years of the International Image Festival (http://festivaldelaimagen.com), the event will be held in a digital format, which will allow the interaction of participants from different parts of the world through of platforms online. It is proposed, as a general framework, to put into practice the principles of "Participation (s) others", the central theme of the Festival and the Participatory Design Conference (PDC2020), through a model that allows the establishment of new interaction practices, supported by a discourse linked to telematic connections and that inspire a new conception of events that take into account alternatives that contribute to sustainability, the reduction of the carbon footprint, the opening of knowledge and mainly to the prevention of the pandemic caused by COVID-19.
The Image Festival, which seeks the interaction between art, design, science and technology, investigates remote participation exercises and, for this, designs diverse narratives that promote local and global participation, with the help of digital devices designed for that purpose.
To meet this objective, the organization of ImageFest & PDC is committed to the following points:

We will keep the community of participants informed about all the changes that take place. We are waiting for you in this new version of the Image Festival, on this occasion, and for the first time, supported on the basis of technologies that today allow us to broaden the spectrum of interactions in a world that demands a greater commitment to participation.
Kind regards.
