He completed his Master's studies in Sao Paulo (Brazil) with a scholarship from the State of Sao Paulo (CNPq) at the University of Sao Paulo (USP), he worked in the production of biodegradable plastic in Airlift bioreactors. He completed his doctoral studies at the University of Porto (Portugal) with a scholarship from the Portuguese Government (FCT), carrying out his doctoral stay at Harvard Medical School and MIT (MA, USA), in the area of Tissue Engineering. . He obtained his PhD with honors from the Instituto de Engenharia Biomedica (Porto, Portugal). As for her production, she has scientific publications in international journals, an international patent, and is currently a Full Professor and researcher at the Jorge Tadeo Lozano University in Bogotá (Colombia). She has been awarded the Distinguished Professor in Science and Technology Award from the Jorge Tadeo Lozano University (2017) and the Rebeca Uribe Bone Award as director of the best thesis in Chemical Engineering in 2021, by the Colombian Professional Council of Chemical Engineering - CPIQ .
