Is a Montreal artist born to Haitian parents. Raised in a family where music is omnipresent, he is steeped in traditional Haitian melodies with artists such as Tabou Combo, Coupé Cloué, and Manno Charlemagne. He learns guitar as a self-taught musician. Despite a strong influence from Haitian music, it is with Hip-Hop that he develops his own style. In 2004, Waahli co-founded Nomadic Massive, a legendary Hip-Hop group in Montreal.

Still active, the group has just completed a new EP, "Pocket full of lingo," recorded during a tour in South America. Meanwhile, Waahli feels the need to develop a solo project. In 2018, he released his very first album, "Black Soap," followed by the EP "Soap Opera” Interpreted in English, French, and Haitian Creole, these songs are a fusion of catchy rhythms at the crossroads of rap and Afro-beat, constituting a true homage to Haitian culture.

Waahli also releases the documentary video "Men Sou Yo" in collaboration with director Bruno Destombes. Filmed during the Havana World Music festival, this short film offers an intimate glimpse into the singer's daily life, showcasing his close ties with the Afro- Cuban community and recounting his memorable concert in the beautiful and legendary Fabrica de Arte Cubano venue. The video receives the Excellence Award at the Canada Shorts Film Festival in 2022.

On September 30th, 2022, Waahli returns with "Soap Box," reflecting a rediscovered intimacy during the lockdown. He delivers an even more personal and committed album, paying a vibrant tribute to his Haitian roots. The 11 tracks, co-produced with Boogat, blend instrumentation, live vocals, and percussion influenced by Haitian and African sounds.

The song "Te revoir," created with the collaboration of singer Malika Tirolien, is a captivating love ode, ranked among the top 50 most listened-to tracks on CBC Music for several weeks. With its ancestral rhythms, powerful beatboxing demonstrations, and sharp lyrics, Waahli offers an alternative hip-hop that takes us on a journey around the world.

On stage, the singer enjoys interacting with his audience. His music boldly brings people together with generosity, advocating for a vision of the world in all its diversity.
