Curator and director of the Associação Cultural Videobrasil, Solange Farkas is also creator and general curator of the SESC_Videobrasil International Contemporary Art Festival, an event that will celebrate its 30th anniversary in 2013 and has become a benchmark for artistic production in the geopolitical South of the world (Africa). , Latin America, Eastern Europe, the Middle East, part of Asia and Oceania). He was responsible for bringing important names of international art to Brazil, such as Akram Zaatari, Bill Viola, Gary Hill, Peter Greenaway, Marina Abramovic, Olafur Eliasson and Walid Raad. He held exhibitions such as Sophie Calle – Take care of your voice (2009), Joseph Beuys – A revolução somos nós (2010-11) and Isaac Julien: Geopoetics (2012), among others. As a guest curator, she participated in the 10th Sharjah Biennial, 16th Cerveira Biennial, 5th Videozone: International Video Art Biennial, 3rd Macau Video Art Festival and Screen de Barcelona Festival, among others. She was director and chief curator of the Museu de Arte Moderna da Bahia from 2007 to 2010. Among her recent collaborations are conferences (University of Westminster, London, and Museu da Gravura da Cidade de Curitiba, 14th Videonale Bonn, Germany) and participation in juries (14th Videonale Bonn and Rotterdam International Film Festival, The Netherlands).

    Professor Janet H. Murray is an internationally recognized interactive designer, the former director of Georgia Tech's Masters and PhD Program in Digital Media (2000-2010), and a member of Georgia Tech's interdisciplinary GVU Center. She is the author of Hamlet on the Holodeck: The Future of Narrative in Cyberspace (Free Press, 1997; MIT Press 1998), which has been translated into 5 languages, and is widely used as a roadmap to emerging broadband art, information, and entertainment environments, and Inventing the Medium: Principles of Interaction Design as a Cultural Practice (MIT Press, 2011).
