Maria Cristina Capriles

Venezuela

PhD in audiovisual and telematics at the University of Paris. Graduated with Laude in Education, planning mention, UCV, 1976. She has a Master's degree in Educational Technology at the UCV and a doctorate in audiovisual and telematics at the University of Paris. It has convened three international reflection symposiums on audiovisual discourse, the audiovisual future, and the recent multimedia-interactivity`96. The result of this are the books that comprise the conferences. In the teaching area, she was a professor for five years of the subject: History of Culture, at the Bramante Academy, now defunct; She was also a trainer for the chair of social development I and II at the UCV School of Education and a professor of the chair of introduction to Pedagogy at the same. It started the Film and Television School and the first specialization in Audiovisual in Audiovisual and creates the CENMAT, Center for New Media, Art and Technology, whose initial work is the current cycle of conferences on Digital Art and New Media.

Carlos Trilnick

Argentina

Visual artist, his work is also developed in the field of video installation, multimedia art and photography. It has been characterized, since its inception, by an expressive search and an experimental spirit. It is through the artistic practice assisted by these interweaving of media that Trilnick proposes a series of remarks on different topics of social and political reality, generating works of commitment with their environment. He has exhibited in numerous individual and collective shows as well as in biennials and video, film and electronic arts festivals in America and Europe. He has twice obtained the Scholarship for Artistic Creation from the National Endowment for the Arts of Argentina and the Scholarship from the Metropolitan Fund for Culture of the City of Buenos Aires.

Jose Manuel de Pablos Coello

Spain

José Manuel de Pablos Coello is a doctor in Information Sciences from the Complutense University and full professor of "New Information Technologies" at the University of La Laguna. Trained in the Madrid press, he returned to Tenerife in 1979 to direct the newspaper El Día, where he remained until 1989; in 1990-91 he directed La Gaceta de Canarias.

Ramon Esparza

Basque Country, Spain

He studied journalism at the University of Navarra (Spain). He has worked as a graphic editor for different editorial media such as the Multipress advertising agency, the Deia newspaper and the Cover agency, in the Basque Country. In 1987, he abandoned journalism to dedicate himself to university teaching. Currently, he is Professor of Audiovisual Communication Theory and Advertising at the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU). In addition, he is an exhibition curator and photo critic and has published numerous theoretical essays on photography. He is the author of Intermediate Landscapes (1994). Among other fields of interest, he has dedicated himself to studying the construction of the observer in the photographic image and multimedia technology in relation to teaching; the analysis of the photographic image and its history; the social dimension of photography (press photography and photojournalism); fashion, industrial and advertising photography; and photography from the economic and industrial dimension.

Diego Esposito

Professor of Painting at the Brera Academy of Fine Arts. An artist of singular creativity, in 1986 he submerged the polychromatic ceramic Oggetto invisibile inclinato verso nord-ovest in the Strait of Bosphorus, after having exhibited it for three hours in the Leander's Tower in Istanbul, achieving the total invisibility of the work of art. On the contrary, in 1987 he returned to the Punta della Dogana in Venice with the mosaic ovoid Oro. “The work of the artist Diego Esposito is presented, as it unfolds through four decades, as an emblematic journey through linearity and constancy. Pietro Montefusco

Director of research and holder of the chair of Industrial Design for visual communications at the Faculty of Architecture of the Polytechnic of Milan. Coordinator of the advanced training course in Multimedia (Communication Designer) at the headquarters of the European Institute of Design in Milan. Laureate in Architecture at the Politecnico di Milano, a student of the mathematics of information from the perspective of the communication project and, subsequently, of digital media. He has developed research activities in the field of design of electronic consumer products, in computer networks with access to research services, in Internet technology and in general in digital media.

Daisy Schultz

PhD in Philosophy – Estética (1995) has been the creator and producer of the weekly program En torno a las artes (Radio de la Universidad de Chile) for 25 years. He has published more than thirty-five books, both in his theoretical area (General Aesthetics, Aesthetics of digital art, Epistemology of Art History, among others) and literary (poetry and narrative); his essays and articles in national and foreign magazines exceed one hundred.

PhD in Communications, Professor of the Department of Cinema, Radio and TV of the University of São Paulo and of the Graduate Program in Communication and Semiotics of the Pontifical University of São Paulo. His field of research covers the universe of technical images, that is, those images produced through various technological mediations, such as photography, film, video and current digital and telematic media. He was the organizer of Brazilian electronic art shows at international events such as Getxoco III (Bilbao), Arco' 91 (Madrid), Art of the Americas (Albuquerque) and Brazilian Video (Waschington). He directed six short films in 16 and 35 mm and three multimedia works on CD ROM. received the National Photography Award from the National Foundation for the Arts, Brazil.1995
