    Diego Esposito

    Italy

Professor of Painting at the Brera Academy of Fine Arts. An artist of singular creativity, in 1986 he submerged the polychromatic ceramic Oggetto invisibile inclinato verso nord-ovest in the Strait of Bosphorus, after having exhibited it for three hours in the Leander's Tower in Istanbul, achieving the total invisibility of the work of art. On the contrary, in 1987 he returned to the Punta della Dogana in Venice with the mosaic ovoid Oro. “The work of the artist Diego Esposito is presented, as it unfolds through four decades, as an emblematic journey through linearity and constancy. The succession of works, from the very early seventies to today, testifies to the persistent tension towards continuous specialties where the senses and the intellect find balance in reverberations and deep and distant sonorities”. (from Aldo Iori, “Lo spazio dell'emozione tra sensi e inteletto”, 2009)
