    The inter-Code

    Pablo-Martin Cordoba / France

In a synesthetic sound atmosphere, L'inter-code stages the opposition between texts and images in their struggle to codify the real world. The text/image dialectic, theorized by Vilém Flusser in his 1990 essay Towards a Philosophy of Photography, dialogues on the screen with another one that is even less resolved: the balance of tribal society that contrasts with the divergences of modern man. L'inter-code, a video generated with the help of algorithms, however, questions the possibilities and limits of science and its materialization in technology: although both can be very useful for man, they also carry the risk of becoming rare its link with the world that hosts it.

    royal cartography

    Fernando Dominguez / Colombia

Videographic cartography that seeks to create a utopian map on a 1:1 scale of a river segment, from its source to its intersection with a road. The action to carry out this task emerges as a performance for video in which the deserts of Tatacoa and Sonora are intertwined with the Alto del Aguacate in Tierradentro. It is an action that seeks to resonate the memory of the intervened places through the song-scream, in search of an orientation that manages to determine a place in a world of mutant coordinates and allows to have the direct experience of a here and now.

    nomadic geography

    Fernando Dominguez / Colombia

A body that little by little inhabits a space, empties that space in which the different layers of time are projected, reaching the physical and informational void. The technique is the procedure, explored by the artist, called chronography, which consists of revealing layers of time in the same space by recording and projecting the image of the spaces onto themselves. This composition arises from the exploratory process of the artist, in his own department through said procedure.

    Gare Paris-Saint-Lazare, April 10, 2017, 12:03-12:07

    Pablo-Martin Cordoba / France

Gare Paris-Saint-Lazare, April 10, 2017, 12:03-12:07 2017, video HD modified by algorithm, 1920x1080, stereo sound. From footage shot in a busy urban environment, still frames are extracted and regularly superimposed onto the video. The result of the hybrid image merges the positions of the people according to the different temporalities; each passerby leaves the trace of his path when he joins the static silhouettes already left by the others. These improbable meetings materialize a timeless structure that progressively fills the available space: the image is transformed, denatured and tends towards abstraction. Thus sculpted by time, the forms produced reveal the dialogue between humans and the architecture that channels their movement.

    it's you

    Rita Casdia / Italy

The clay video It's You wants to investigate the ambiguous relationship that each human being establishes when they meet with the other. “The Other” can be anyone: a parent, a friend; a girlfriend, a co-worker, etc... The formal decision to wear the same clothes for all the characters in the video, the composition of scenes, is intended to question the viewer. How is it possible to recognize the diversity that distinguishes a character, if all the others are similar to him? In this game of mirrors the narration of the video takes place.
