«D'Eco a Siringa»

Jose Manuel Berenguer (Spain)

Sound and visual installation that was presented at the end of September 2022 in Mixtur, Festival de nueva creación sonora de Barcelona, where I applied resources close to artificial intelligence in the composition of a musical and visual flow in continuous transformation, without formal resolving elements throughout the installation time, built dynamically from a database hung in the IP space and integrated by materials obtained from the reading of words from the world's female literature, spoken by diverse female voices in as many as possible of the languages spoken in the metropolitan area of Barcelona.

I constructed the images from the graphic treatment of the texts in the different languages and alphabets and their behavior will be reactive in real time to the production of the sounds. In spite of the continuous change of the sonorous and visual flow that I want to generate as a consequence of the ethical-aesthetic reasons that in the following paragraphs I will expose, I raise the problems of the distillation of the essence and the maintenance of the identity of the work of art, which, in this case, I will try to achieve by means of the manipulation of the timbre colorations of the voices and the balance of the images.

To this end, recordings of the readings and the appearance of the texts will be subjected to various forms of signal processing; in particular, transposition, juxtaposition, superposition, convolution, fragmentation, granulation, filtering and spatialization.

    "Women Cooks of Ideas"

Carlos Alberto Molano Monsalve / Katherine Andrea Vidal Pino (Colombia)

The interactive mural Mujeres Cocineras de Ideas tells the stories of the women of the Cocinando Ideas collective in the municipality of Ovejas, Sucre. A union of women who are survivors, resilient, and brave. Women who in "The Struggle to Survive" chop, cut, peel, serve, cry, smile and narrate. Empowered women who gather around experiences and resistances around the kitchen, resignifying this space in the process of construction and deconstruction of being a woman.

Hector Fabio Torres Cardona / Yovanny Betancur Santa (Colombia)

The project proposes three compositions for flute, guitar and control that represent three Latin American cultural components: the essence of the hybridizations of the south from the expanded musical perspectives, the medial hybridizations and a sound bet based on the sonorous mutation of the instrumental medium through electroacoustic processes based on control and spatialization in search of timbres processed by convolutive synthesis models of complex synthesis.

    "iCLO.dBOG"

Roberto Cuervo Pulido / Joaquín Eduardo Llorca Franco / Jonathan Reina Gómez (Colombia)

As a sound bridge between two distant but related spatial realities, the piece iCLO.dBOG is born from a comparative research between the sound identity of the marketplaces of Cali and Bogota. From phonograms collected in both cities, a reduced listening is proposed to the listener after the daily sounds of the markets, loaded with causal meanings, are intervened live and separated from their figurative referent to emphasize their plastic attributes.
