«Approach between art and science for the transformation of knowledge»

Ignacio Nieto (Chile) Table C – Connectographies

Considering the crisis of meaning in both science and art, this article identifies a variety of interdisciplinary crossovers between art and science.

Based on a bibliographic review, the identification of interdisciplinary training spaces, a series of semi-structured interviews with both artists informed by science and scientists who perform or support the production of contemporary art, a model of integration between both disciplines is proposed and the selection of a series of artistic works made by each of them.

This model narrows the distances between what is declared and what is represented and also functions as a tool for the analysis of interdisciplinary discussion, thus bringing about a change that allows us to approach the complex world previously established by the disciplinary dissociation between science and art.
