Water Resistance is a project that seeks to establish a reflection on media and electronic devices based on water as a point of attraction in technological development. It also includes an exploration of the materialities or interaction interfaces and how, based on their interconnections with the supports, a tension can be provoked between two elements of great relevance to life: water and electricity.
From this intersection, the relationship between the old and the new is considered, looking for the first precedents in the history of water machines, movement control and automation systems, as well as in the history of art and the incorporation of electronic systems into works and artistic proposals. Finding examples of the use of water as an element of control and measurement of processes and natural cycles; and also as an interaction interface - communication with machines and between machines, a key element for organic and inorganic balance, activating the functions and therefore present at the center of the man-art-technical-technology relationship.
