"The Tower"
Marta Di Francesco (United Kingdom)
"The Tower" is an exploration of hubris and chaos, movement and paralysis. An architecture of oppression inspired by the myth of Babel, the tower produces a reality of extraction, efficiency and productivity.
The false sense of progress that hides behind the constant and incessant growth reveals a paralysis whose suspension and numbness has taken over the bodies, but not the data.
The tower is a sculpture of bodies locked in the perpetual extraction of data, transferred in the temporal confinement of meta-time.
