Sebastian Castrillon

He began his cello studies at the age of 10 with his brother Sergio Castrillón.
He later participated in the basic program of musical studies at the Universidad de Caldas with Andriana Marín, Jorge Camelo and Ángela Osorio.
He is currently principal cellist of the Orquesta Sinfónica de Caldas and is first violoncellist of the Orquesta Sinfónica de Caldas. cello of the TRÍO CASSAG, which he integrates with his brother Sergio and his sister Natalia, is a professor of the cello chair at the University of Caldas.
He completed his undergraduate studies at the Universidad Nacional de Colombia in the chair of Diego García and obtained his master's degree in music with emphasis in cello; he has received master classes with professors from USA, France, Hungary and Germany, in 2014 he traveled with the symphony orchestra of the conservatory of music of the National University to a tour in Catalonia, he has been a soloist performing works by Haydn, Vivaldi, Rossini, Rachmaninoff and Schostakovich. His interests as a cellist and artist range from classical and contemporary academic music to different current sound manifestations, such as electroacoustic music, rock, jazz and free improvisation.
