Sarah Montoya

She is a plastic and digital artist. He has a master's degree in Audiovisual Innovation and Interactive Environments from the Barcelona University of Art and Design, and a master's degree in Motion Graphics and 3D from the Barcelona School of Design and Fine Arts. Montoya's work has participated in the Core 2022 Festival (Brussels), the Sónar+D 2019 Festival (Barcelona), and the MUTEK 2019 Festival (Barcelona), among others. Montoya's artistic work comprises a conceptual and critical exploration of sensory and perceptual experience in the context of contemporaneity, characterized by digitization and automation.

Montoya focuses his research on the new aesthetic, technical and conceptual inputs necessary in the face of the transformation of contemporary culture by artificial cognition, virtual reality and massive social engineering. By exploring the interactions between art, design, and technology, Montoya addresses the blurring of the boundaries between the physical and digital domains, delving into the uncertain liminality at the edge of both.
