Santiago Sepulveda
Colombia
(1984, Itagüí-Antioquia) is a transdisciplinary artist who has built his poetics from the link between the body and the moving image. In this field he travels through different paths of artistic work, namely: photography, design, video art, video-installation, performance, live cinema and production. From there he has also worked as a pedagogue at universities such as the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in the area of Electronic Arts, at the Jorge Tadeo Lozano University in the subjects History III, Photography I, Body and Actions I, III, Laboratory II and Poetic Thought. III and at the National University of Colombia in the Master of Theater and Living Arts. He recently worked with the University of Caldas linked to the Performing Arts program. Since 2009, he has been part of the Mapa Teatro Artist Laboratory, with whom he has forged a close relationship of thought/creation. Currently his personal research focuses on language problems, the tension between the human and the other-living non-human. This has been achieved by a live cinema device that questions the time of the image, its plasticity, its movements in space and its relationship with the live body. Added to this is a knowledge of image technologies, video-installation and live arts that have allowed him to articulate all his research with technical problems of the image that have become his own poetics.
