Researcher in art sciences, educator, editor and astrophysicist. He is a co-founder of the UTDallas ArtSciLab, along with design professor Cassini Nazir. We enable close collaboration between scientists and artists, as well as other hybrid projects that require scientific methods of team science. We develop data performance and transdisciplinary research and learning. ASL also does research in experimental editing and curating in collaboration with MIT Press and Leonardo/ISAST and OLATS. Former NASA IP of the Extreme Ultraviolet Explorer satellite at the University of California Berkeley. Former Director of the CNRS Observatoire Astronomique de Marseille Provence, Marseille. Executive Editor of Leonardo Publications, MIT Press. Graduated in Physics from MIT in 1972, PhD in Astronomy from the University of Berkeley in 1979. Doctor Honoris Causa from the Polytechnic University of Valencia, and Nika de Oro from Ars Electronica for their collective work through Leonardo
