Series composed of three episodes, a simultaneous reading in Portuguese and Spanish of fragments of the book The Anarchist Doctrine within Everyone's Reach, written in 1925 by the Brazilian professor and intellectual José Oiticica. The book's premise is to understand the reason for human suffering, therefore, each chapter is a thematic collection of Oiticica's meditative, critical and political thoughts, being a key piece in the understanding and enrichment of the debates of our contemporary society.
PRIMERA PARTE is a project by artists Ivar Rocha (BRA) and Ivonne Villamil (COL). It began in 2017 with the intention of translating Oiticica's book from Portuguese to Spanish. From the translation exercise, the project expanded taking shape in different scenarios and countries. It has been presented in events such as: TOSNAMI 2021 Festival, Valparaíso; INDAGAR LO PROPIO, 2019, in the framework of the XIII Havana Biennial, ISA, Universidad de las Artes, Havana; HEMI-ENCUENTRO Feria Independiente de publicaciones, 2019, UNAM, Mexico City; PRIMERA PARTE, 2018, Memorial Getúlio Vargas, Rio de Janeiro; KNOWLEDGE AND FAZERES DO NOT TEACH VISUAL ARTS workshop, Pedro II College, Rio de Janeiro.
