Pamela Iglesias Carranza

Argentina / Chile

Pamela Iglesias Carranza (Argentina/Chile). She currently lives and works in Colicheu, a rural area of the Bio-bío Region, Chile. She studied Art at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, graduating in 2005.

She has had solo and group exhibitions in Chile and abroad. Her work is part of the Ca.Sa Collection, the Audiovisual Archive of the La Moneda Palace Cultural Center and the Archiva: Masterpieces of Feminist Art in Chile, Cerrillos National Center of Contemporary Art. 

Participated in the residency at Galería Metropolitana, San Pedro de La Paz, Chile.

Her artistic production is developed around her biography, linked to gender issues; third world feminism, migration, periphery and environment, developing crossroads.with photography, video art, textiles and installation, among other disciplines.

She deepens andreflects on the dominant patriarchal structures naturalized in our society, using a story articulated from the social imaginary of the domestic space.and the affective world.
