Monica Taboada

Mónica Taboada-Tapia studied anthropology at Los Andes and filmmaking at La Nacional. She directed FIDEL, a short film that won several awards and participated in multiple festivals around the world, and Two-Spirit.
She produced Causas Elevadas for Señal Colombia and was the showrunner of the series El Placer de Escaparse del Mundo.
She is currently working on three feature films: ALMA DEL DESIERTO, LUCHADORES DE LA VILLA and MI VIDA, MI CUERPO, films supported by FDC Proimágenes and MinCultura.
Her projects have participated in Tribeca Film Institute Network, MiradasDoc, Torino Film Lab, DocsMX, ChileDoc, Talents Buenos Aires, DocMontevideo, Docs SP Brasil, DocsBarcelona, The New York Times Op-Docs, Pulitzer Center and Tribeca Film Institute International Pitch.
