Monica Naranjo Uribe
Colombia
Multidisciplinary artist and editor interested in the exploration of territories. His personal research is focused on geological formations that he studies in specific contexts, combining different sources of information: that triggered by physical and intimate experience with the territory, local scientific and popular knowledge, and cosmological thought. His different means of creation include drawing, video, installation, ephemeral interventions in the landscape, among others.
Through his publishing house Nómada Ediciones, created in 2014, he publishes research on the territories of other artists and his own, through artist books, cartographies, zines, and drawings. Additionally, he conducts workshops focused on reflecting on our affective ties with the territory, aimed especially at different rural communities in Latin America.
