“Metodologías del diseño en los procesos de reivindicación del territorio. Caso metaterritorio San José”
Margarita Villegas / Paula Correa Montaño (Colombia) Mesa A – Persistencias
The following article arises from the research project " Escenarios transmedia para las comunidades sostenibles. Metaterritorio San José", which is structured on the interest in generating creative processes mediated by design, to highlight the configurations and implications of memory in the neighborhood of San José in the city of Manizales.
In this way, it shows how design, understood as a project discipline, studies the phenomena and social problems caused by different urban renovations and intervenes from its methodologies to give order to the processes of vindication of the territory, proposing a structure where the actions and ways of approaching, dialoguing and creating around the memory of the neighborhood in co-creation with the community are framed in a chronological way.
From there, it is proposed as an alternative practice, the conservation of the memory of a space in continuous transformation, through a methodological proposal called Metaterritorio, applied with the community affected by the " Macroproyecto de interés social nacional para el centro occidente de Colombia, San José, Manizales" which generated a gradual loss of physical scenarios, affecting the rootedness, identity, and the symbolic and cultural loss of its inhabitants.
