Matias Serrano Acevedo


Bachelor of Arts in Sound from the Universidad de Chile, and currently a student of the Master's program in Media Arts at the same university. 

As an artist, he has developed mainly by creating together with designer Bárbara Molina in the 22bits Collective, dedicated to exploring the links between art, gender, technology, design and sound, through listening and electronic fabrication processes, from which they have participated in festivals and residency programs Tsonami (Valparaíso, Chile), Toda la Teoría del Universo (Concepción, Chile) and Platohedro (Medellín, Colombia), besides creating the netlabel Archivo Veintidós, with a focus on sound art and Latin American experimental music.  

Matías has released three albums: minor planets (Archivo Veintidós, 2019), minoritario (Pueblo Nuevo, 2020) and three reconstitutions and a sound documentary (Medio Oriente, 2021). 

With the support of the Ministry of Culture, Arts and Heritage of Chile and the Directorate of Cultural Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Chile.
