Mariana Salgado

Argentina - Finland

Service designer at the Ministry of Interior of Finland. She is part of the innovation and design lab Inland Design ( She is from Argentina. In her spare time, when she is not swimming, she makes the social design podcast in Spanish: Diseño y diáspora.

She believes in networks and is part of many professional and activist collaborations. She can be seen in demonstrations for some just cause, cooking or reading. Yes! She loves reading so much that at some point she did a PhD in interaction design, specializing in how to make museums more democratic spaces, at Universidad de Aalto. The projects she is most passionate about are where she can design with vulnerable populations thinking ahead with imagination and creativity.
