«Mapu Kutran. The sickness of the earth

Mapu Kutran is a word in Mapudungun, which describes a disease with no apparent cause that strikes when humans damage nature.

The disease begins when the person disrespects the environment: places like the "menoko" (natural water source), "lawen" (medicinal herbs) or places of high "newen" (power) with pollution or excessive extraction of resources without the permission of the "ngen" (guardian spirit). Mapu Kutran explores the contradictions of the sick human being, in a pandemic for having made his own Mother Earth sick
