This paper is the result of a research that seeks to model a proposal for a Creative Design District for the city of Manizales.

This informative exercise proposes the conceptualization of some categories of analysis for their subsequent application to contexts of medium-sized cities in the country and the world. The purpose of this exercise is to situate, from the Other Designs, these theoretical constructions and demonstrate the feasibility of their development in decentralized environments.

All of the above responds to the manifest need of the local environment, in which design must be understood as a way of thinking about the world and transgressing the lines of hegemony in order to contribute to the development of society and knowledge hand in hand with art and science.
