LUCHA AI Project

The proposal is a video summary of LUCHA. LUCHA is a stage machine based on Artificial Intelligence, which interacts with the spectator and the performer on stage. LUCHA speaks, performs monologues and questions to establish an affective relationship with the viewer and criticizes contemporary life and technologies. The Project comes from a reflection on the notion of the body from experiences carried out, in which I studied the possible dialogues between technological devices, gestures and movement with the collaboration of dancers, I programmed and manufactured my own tools, and that connection with the materials resulted in The result is a reflection that between humans and non-humans there could be a horizontal relationship where materiality also transforms us. What gave, later a displacement to the matter - machine, seen these as body and new species of our social ecosystem and its role in the artistic space not only as "media" in use. The machines manage the power of the choreographer and the artist, as metaphors of power, the artistic space as a political space. A voice that becomes a body. LUCHA is perhaps the only scenic machine that exists or at least has been created in Spanish.
