The project in hand finds its main inspiration in the work of Steven Feld (2020) and the painting "The Girl at the Window" by Salvador Dalí. It is an exploration of the sounds emanating from the author's bedroom window over the course of a full day.

Emerging from class discussions on ethnography and popular cultures with Professor Wagner Chaves, PPGSA-UFRJ, this project seeks to understand the importance of sound in ethnographic research. In this sound essay, it delves into acustemology, exploring how sound becomes knowledge and experience.
