“Los actos de la inercia”

“Los actos de la inercia”

Javier Martin (Spain)

Subversion is not an identity but a practice: rhythm, with its echoes, does not come first, gestures come before steps.

The interstice, those territories of emptiness. The tension in the interactions between flows: this is how form and silence are penetrated. As palpitation, opening, closing, unfolding, contraction and traction. And alteration, repetition, reposition and change or translation.

Movement that imprints force against the void, provoking its collapse. From stillness overflows movement, the basis of all forms; and each unfolded rhythm implies a singular condensation in the form.

"To tell the truth pure impression is not felt, but conceived" Lagneau.
