Laurent Mignonneau
Japan
He has trained in video at the Angouleme School of Fine Arts and in Infographics at the CNBDI, France. In 1992 he was awarded a Eurocreation grant and studied at the Institute for New Media in Frankfurt. There I work as an assistant to the physicist Michael Klein investigating the visualization and simulation of complex systems. Since 1985, he has also worked on electroacoustic music and since 1987 on video art and interactive art. Christa Sommerer and Laurent Mignonneau have focused on creating artificial life within virtual universes. In his works, plants, animals and artificial forms arise from the viewer's interaction with real objects, promoting the coexistence of different levels of reality.
