"Voices whisper tales of the cosmos"

The work rescues the landscape and the voice of Mapuche poetry, through the poem "Círculo" by Elicura Chihuailaf, winner of the 2020 National Literature Award, from where we explore Wallmapu, an ancestral territory that continues to resist the Winka invasion and persists in the recovery of their ancestral territory.

The material makes an exercise of memory for the weichafe (warriors) fallen in the struggle for the land.

Along with the video presentation, images are projected that refer to the disappearance and death of Santiago Maldonado, a 27-year-old murdered after a repression by Argentine gendarmerie in the Lof in Resistance Cushamen, Chubut Argentina, in 2017.

The images and texts form a visual collage that is projected simultaneously on two projectors attached to the projection of the short film, as an expanded cinema. The presentation is projected in a loop and to be viewed with headphones.
