In order to understand how the image is configured in the world of art and to apply it in a projective way to the activity of design, we seek to create from a meaningful reading a system that transfers the iconic elements of the artistic work to the construction of persuasive graphic pieces.

As a result of a constant search in the processes of teaching and creation, a research is proposed that intends to recognize the coincidence between the compositional elements of the plastic arts and the visual grammar of graphic design, so that from a critical analysis through a comprehensive reading, the application of the characteristic signs coming from the collective imaginary is ordered, where this will not be the result of a copy of the artistic product but a graphic creation of persuasive type expressed in an innovative way.

ISMOS is a joint project of the research group FormaDiseño and the interest group Diseño Más Arte, attached to the Graphic Design program of the Universidad Católica Luis Amigó that works transversally from the projectual and theoretical component such as design history, visual communication, image rhetoric; and from the technological component such as vectorial design, digital image, digital edition and animation.
