Klaus Fruchtnis

Fruchtnis (1978) is a Colombian-French artist, technologist and teacher. Graduated in Fine Arts from the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux Arts, Master in Design, Art and Technology from the Sorbonne, he was part of the EnsadLad research group at the École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Decoratifs, in Paris, where he lives and works.

His work, in technological, social and institutional criticism, includes supports ranging from drawing and photography to installation, online projects, workshops, performance, public intervention or editorial. Klaus is Associate Dean of Graduate Studies, Academic Director of the Department of Photography, and Master of Transdisciplinary New Media at the Paris College of Art. He has developed projects at the Georges Pompidou Center in Paris; Museum of Contemporary Art of Bogotá; Fabbrica del Vapore, Milan; Proekt Fabrika, Moscow; Museum of Modern Art of Medellin; Art to the Art Gallery and Picture Gallery, Bangkok; La Criée Center for Contemporary Art, Rennes; The space José Kessel, Villepinte, or La Friche Kodak, Sevran.

He has participated in events such as Cross Urban Itinérant, Paris; Art on the site, Sydney; Nuit Blanche, Montreal; The Photography Biennial of Lima or the Ibero-American Theater Festival of Bogotá, and in fairs such as Art Basel Miami, ArtBO Bogotá or Exhibición México.
