Timothy is a Research Fellow in Regulation and Design at the Melbourne School of Government and a current PhD candidate at the University of Melbourne School of Computing and Information Systems. Tim is passionate about working towards an information-driven society which is equitable and just for all. His at the Melbourne School of Government explores participatory data governance in the context of smart cities. His PhD considers that of privacy and dignity in the design of information technologies in mental health contexts. Tim also leads a Melbourne Disability Institute funded project exploring the adoption of information technologies in the disability sector.

Darakhshan Mir is an Assistant Professor of Computer Science at Bucknell University, a liberal arts institution in rural central Pennsylvania, USA. Her teaching and scholarly interests are in the area of privacy and societal implications of computing. Most
Recently, she has been interested in exploring the possibility of democratic models of creation, governance, and critique of technology being applied to engineer "better" computing solutions that serve the needs of a diverse set of people.
