Juan Jose Garcia
Juan José García Ortiz is a Colombian artist living in the United States who has begun to stand out in the artistic milieu of Miami and New York. His works are an exploration of human wonder. Her work seeks to measure and understand phenomena of the universe using culture and family. He uses elements collected in his homeland and his family to create a vision of Colombia in the future. Juan José was selected by "the Mars Society" to be part of the Mars Desert Research Station project that brought together an exclusive group of artists and scientists to be part of a simulation of living on Mars in the Utah desert. Juan José is a graduate of The Cooper Union University for the advancement of Science & Art in New York and has studied at L'Ecole Nationale Superieure des Beaux-Arts, Paris, France. He was the winner of the American Institute for Graphic Arts Worldstudio scholar award and the National YoungArts Foundation award in the United States. Juan José presents the videos "Grandma, I'm going to Space" and "Solar Eclipse." They are exhibited at Plaza Digital Alianza Francesa in Bogotá, in connection with the International Image Festival
