Jose David Cuartas

José David Cuartas is a Visual Designer with a PhD in Design and Creation from the Universidad de Caldas. He is a research professor at the Universidad del Valle, Cali, Colombia and is in charge of station 5 of the Inmedia laboratory, where he works on hypermedia creation and open technologies.
He is a promoter of the use of free software development for art, design and entertainment environments.
His research work focuses on exploring strategies to promote Hacker and Maker cultures in the university academic context, looking for inexperienced people to demystify technologies and discover the creative opportunities that exist when learning to program.
