Joan Heemskerk

Joan Heemskerk (1968, Kaatsheuvel) studied photography at the St. Joost Academy in Breda before attending CADRE, the electronic arts laboratory at San Jose State University in California. In 1994 he started working together with Dirk Paesmans. Together they form the artist collective JODI, known for its pioneering web-based artwork.
