Jessica Arianne Rodriguez

Visual/sound composer and researcher. Currently studying a Ph.D. in Communication, New Media and Cultural Studies at McMaster University. Her project focuses on audio-visual practices within live performance platforms, taking theories and practices of live coding to develop a language for live musical-visual performance.

She is co-founder of http://andamio.in/a collaborative space where performance, education and research projects are developed. In addition, she is currently a member of the organizing board of the Factory Media Centre in Hamilton, Canada, a non-profit organization for the dissemination of art and new media. On the practical side, her work has focused on collaborating with composers to realize audio-visual projects, as well as in the incursion into programming languages for artistic creation.
