Jenny Fonseca

Colombia

She is an interdisciplinary artist, researcher and documentary filmmaker. Film and television producer with a specialization in Art and New Media from the Universidad Nacional de Colombia. Master in Visual Arts from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Doctor in Arts from the University of Sao Paulo, Brazil.

In addition, she has had training in contemporary dance and improvisation with the Fundación Danza Común, training in Afro dance with Colombian and Brazilian masters. She is currently a professor at the Institución Universitaria Politécnico Grancolombiano.

She is interested in the relationship between body and image, researching-creating-writing around the macro and micro political deployments that such relationships can comprise, thus generating an interdisciplinary poetics that moves between dance, performance, experimental video and video installation.
