Ivan Gaona

Filmmaker from the National University of Colombia. He was co-director of the series Laberinto (2011) for Caracol TV and Sony Pictures, and co-director of Maravillas de Colombia II (2014) for Laberinto Cine and Discovery Channel. With La Banda del Carro Rojo Producciones, he directed 6 short films that have been seen and awarded in more than 200 festivals around the world. In 2016, he premiered his debut feature PARENTE at the 73rd Venice Film Festival and at the 41st Toronto Film Festival. With his new company La ContraBanda, he produced and directed the fiction series for public television Adiós Al Amigo (2019) and Libertador (2020). Currently, he is in the development of various feature film projects and series
