Generative tools are evolving really fast, aiming at more realistic outputs. Concomitantly, we can see a lot of reluctancy toward AI Art – categorized in «not real Art». Therefore one can wonder what’s the purpose of making tools imitate reality and what «real Art» is.

The notion of reality is at the center of the conversation. And the more AI tools evolve, the more we can observe a wish to align with normativity designed by big tech. This seminar is about encouraging a personal and critical position towards Gen AI, while contextualizing in the Digital Art history and its relationship with art institutions through the prism of my work from 2009 to 2024.
