Chile

Esteban Agosin (Chile) is a sound artist and electronic media artist. He holds a degree in Music from the Universidad de Valparaíso, Chile and a Master in Electronic Arts from the Universidad Nacional de Tres de Febrero, Buenos Aires, Argentina.

He is currently pursuing his PhD at DXARTS, University of Washington, Seattle, USA (Digital Arts and Experimental Media). His research has been oriented to the human-machine relationship, and how technologies and devices act as an interface that extends our human capabilities, allowing to expand human perception, transforming, changing or degrading the information coming from the environment, providing new interpretations or meanings of the world.

In the last two years his work has focused on machine learning, and machine listening applied to robotic and sound installations.

With the support of the Ministry of Culture, Arts and Heritage of Chile and the Directorate of Cultural Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Chile.
