Apus Ensamble

Apus is an exploration ensemble where different artistic disciplines meet to create parallel realities in the same visual and sound space.
This project, created by flutists Alejandra Buitrago and Michel Boizot, is characterized by the use of new digital technologies for sound and image processing in real time, resulting in the creation of sound spaces by composers and visual artists from different parts of the world.

ALEJANDRA BUITRAGO GRAJALES (Colombia)

Bachelor of Music from the Universidad de Caldas. She received her Diploma in Musical Studies with emphasis in Flute and Chamber Music at the Jacques Thibaud Conservatory and a Master's Degree in History and Analysis of the Performing Arts - Music, Dance and Theater - at the Michel Montaigne University in Bordeaux, France.

Currently, she teaches flute at the

Universidad de Caldas, she is a member of the Ensamble de Música Contemporánea de la Universidad de Caldas and Principal Flutist of the Orquesta Sinfónica de Caldas.

MICHEL BOIZOT (Francia)

Flutist and piccolist in various Parisian orchestras, he decided to devote himself to chamber music with the creation of the Trio d'Argent; with this ensemble he performed concerts all over the world and played in particular with Jean Pierre Rampal, Alain Marion, Maxence Larrieu, Benoît Fromanger, Sophie Cherrier, among others.

After a period of concerts and record productions dedicated to

Classical music, he participated with the Trio d'Argent in the creation of numerous concert-performances; this ensemble thus became a great promoter of the creation of contemporary music for flute.
