Interaction designer interested in designing for social interaction in augmented environments. Explore how to design intelligent devices suitable for acting in social environments that facilitate processes of cooperation and coordination between members of a group. At the level of socio-technological systems, his research becomes relevant in the planning and implementation of non-human mediators that facilitate the achievement of the objectives of a human group.
He earned his PhD from the Institute of Design at the Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago, USA and his Master's degree in design direction from the Domus Academy in Milan, Italy.
He has worked for 15 years in academia and private business at organizations such as Motorola, the Institute for Creative Integration, and Quattro Office International. Dr. Salamanca was founder and director of the Interactive Media Design program at Icesi University, Cali, Colombia. He is currently an assistant professor in the Department of Design at the same University.
