Corollaries

Corollaries is a series of landscapes co-created by the artist Sara Montoya and an artificial intelligence (AI) algorithm. To create these pieces, Montoya produced texts from which the AI algorithm began to generate images. Following this methodology known as prompt engineering, to the extent that the artist writes, the AI generates new images or refines the ones it has previously produced, thus learning about the artist's preferences and preferred styles, in a kind of training or co-learning between both parties. .

Through this process, the artist questions the limits and importance of technology, both in the self-awareness of the human being and his communication with his environment, as well as in the construction of thought and culture. Over time, the human being has thrown so much information on the web that Artificial Intelligences are nothing more than repositories of knowledge and human symbologies; then, through all that human knowledge, technology becomes a brush with a high level of autonomy, thus being a new and unexplored creation tool.
