«Against necropolitics: biomaterialities as producers of the in-common.»

Jenny Fonseca (Colombia)

The production of the in-common, through collaborative and/or collective artistic methodologies, has the potential to be a tactic of subversion to necropolitics - a term coined by the Cameroonian philosopher Achille Mbembe - as it generates spaces of encounter that can be linked to a notion of repair: repair of what was fissured, broken and fragmented, repair of individual and collective bodies, repair of the atomization of bio-powerful multitudes.

The in-common is an expansive spiral of relationships that is triggered through the encounter of a multiplicity of differences, is non-hierarchical and has the potential to bridge academia, art, community and a diversity of epistemes.
