Colombia, due to its privileged location near the equatorial line, has a diversity and variety of agricultural products, for this reason the cultivation of cocoa in our country has unique characteristics, which are fine in flavor and aroma, this has generated an increase in its consumption.

Based on this first approach, organizations such as FEDECACAO, Bioretos, among others have shown that cocoa in Colombia suffers from various diseases, the main ones being mainly caused by microorganisms that affect cocoa production in the country, apart from affecting the economic income of cocoa growing families, For this reason, at present, this degree work is derived from a project that seeks the development of a biological antimicrobial fungicide to control the impact suffered by the crops, however, this product lacks a distinctive sign that represents it.

The objective of this study is to co-construct, through design, a distinctive sign and label, together with the actors involved and their context, to demonstrate a design process that is appropriated by the community. To this end, the research question is the following: How to co-construct a distinctive sign and label that represents the value and meaning of the new bioproduct for the improvement and safety of Theobroma cacao in Colombia? In this context, the importance of making people an essential part of the process and that this goes beyond a traditional design work, lies in how it is built from the beginning through the Design Thinking methodology, until reaching the desired situation.

This degree project is built through tools created and applied according to the cocoa context, in addition to a theoretical accompaniment in the design and implementation of these studies, achieving to carry out a significant exercise for the cocoa field in the region.

Finally, this will generate more studies that can cover the entire creation of the product together with all the actors involved, in the same way, new tools can be developed to identify more factors to take into account when co-creating design processes that are useful for communities, organizations, companies, among others.
