Clemencia Echeverri lives and works in Bogotá. He completed undergraduate studies in Colombia and a specialization and master's degree in Plastic Arts at Chelsea College of Arts, London. He worked as a professor of Arts in undergraduate and master's degrees at the universities of Antioquia and Nacional de Colombia.
After working in painting and sculpture, since the mid-90s Clemencia develops works in installation, video, photography, sound and interactivity based on the prevailing political and social conditions. In recent years, he has carried out video installation projects with participation in various national and international events, among which stand out, The work Treno in Waterweavers The River in Contemporary Colombian Visual and Material Culture, curated by José Roca. He has obtained awards, mentions, national and international scholarships such as the London Arts Council, the Daniel Langlois Foundation of Canada and the Colombian Biennial Award for the Arts. He has received national and international support, among which the Delfina Foundation London stands out, and research-creation grants from the Ministry of Culture, the National University of Colombia and the District Institute of Culture of Bogotá.
