The Francisco José de Caldas Science Center is a space for citizen construction that promotes the Science + Technology + Innovation intersection between scientists and social groups, as a concrete action for the social appropriation of science, technology and innovation through of the use of collaborative tools to search for alternatives to problems in the Department of Caldas. It links concepts related to collaborative thinking and strategies for the collective construction of knowledge and consolidates a community of problem solvers (Makers) based on research results, social needs, knowledge of the local culture or specific challenges for the development of skills; that give rise to a space for dialogue of knowledge between social groups, experts, students and creative industries.
